ScalaScript Resources

ScalaScript is the scripting language that underlies all InfoChannel scripts. Script files saved by InfoChannel are actually text files of ScalaScript commands, which describe the objects and flow of the script, and refer to external graphics and sound files.

ScalaScript is in no way related to the newer JVM-based programming language called Scala.

Advanced Scripting
Using various advanced ScalaScript techniques, or combining ScalaScript with another scripting language such as VBScript, JScript, or Python opens up many new possibilities and capabilities for playback.

Scala Training Blog
The Scala Training Blog has a wealth of technical tips and tricks for Scala InfoChannel and is a great place to watch for ScalaScript advice.

Search the Scala Message Board for ScalaScript Tips
This link will take you directly to a set of search results that point to message forum threads containing "ScalaScript".

The Scala Website requires that JavaScript (Active Scripting) be enabled.

Please go to Tools, Internet Options under the Menus. Select the Security Tab, then Custom Level button. Then click the Enable button under Scripting / Active Scripting. Hit OK, then OK again to exit requestors. You will know it's working when you see a "More" link in the links beneath the Tabs.

You can still use the website without changing this setting, but certain features will be disabled.
