Los Angeles Entertainment Complex Kicks Women’s World Cup Excitement into High Gear
Dynamic promotions count down to game day with videos based on current weather conditions.
The United States Women’s National Team was gearing up for the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup, and Fox Sports Marketing Group wanted a creative, impactful way to reach a large audience, hyping them up for the worldwide event. Scala Certified Partner AEG Multimedia created a campaign with full-motion high-definition (HD) videos of the team practicing both day and night, and in different weather conditions. The solution utilized a 20-screen network and displayed content organized into playlists from Scala Enterprise Content Manager 24 hours a day.
Showed full-motion, HD-videos of the players practicing in any weather, any time of the day
Integrated live data with a custom script from Scala Services to cue up the correct video according to current weather conditions. A rainy forecast meant a video of a rainy practice displayed
Repurposed an existing Scala-provided countdown clock script
Utilized Scala Designer to easily adjust content to fit the screens of varying size and pixel ratio
Ultimately grabbed the attention of millions of visitors in busy downtown Los Angeles and spread awareness of the upcoming Women’s World Cup
