I have downloaded the latest service pack for IC200 and installed it on the Master and the Player stations, but immediately after starting the player it is hanging on the Startup splash screen and will not play my script. What is wrong?
It is important for Service Packs to match on both the IC200 Master and
Player stations. It is just as important for the scripts playing to
reflect these updates and changes made during the installation of these
Service Packs. The script that was playing prior to the introduction of
the current Service Pack was transferred to the Player when using the
previous Service Pack, and IC200 Player does not recognize the
"outdated" script, and hangs because of it. Though it does not seem so,
the player is "waiting" for a script that it can recognize, and is
working properly.
Solving this problem is very simple. Start the Player software. The
splash screen will appear as normal, and will normally hang while
loading "Commgr.EX". At this point send the script you wish to use from
IC200 Master to the Player using ScalaNet. After completing the
transfer, your updated script should be playing on the Player computer.
It is suggested that when you install a new Service Pack on your
Master station, that if using multiple IC200 Players, that you install
the Service Packs to each player, then transfer the updated script to
each computer.
