Scala Services enabled a VAR in the UK to deliver customized features to a large grocery chain client. They have two channels for employee communication: One is displayed on TVs for company news and uses a VBScript written by Scala to retrieve & display data from the customer's website. The other is an interactive application the lets viewers log in to select and view training videos. The user, date and time are recorded to verify the videos were indeed watched.
The newest high profile public venue in Hollywood, CA, this is the home of the Academy Awards plus a hotel, theater, restaurants, shops and two large LED-based signs reaching thousands of people each day. Scala developed, installed and provided training for the systems that deliver advertising content to the screens.
Catalyst is a consulting company that helps their clients develop plans for deploying complex systems such as dynamic signage. Scala worked with Catalyst to develop their corporate pitch which included a full multimedia presentation and interactive simulations of typical applications.
Scala assisted Payless and its VAR in a successful pilot of in-store dynamic signage. By working with Scala, Payless was able quickly learn how to leverage their print and TV promotional materials to make compelling dynamic signage content.
Scala provided design and consulting to enable Compaq's corporate communications department to get their InfoChannel system up and running quickly and effectively. Company news and announcements are displayed on screens in the lobby and other rooms in their headquarters.
Scala and Pioneer have cooperated on many marketing activities and trade shows. Scala produced trade show presentations for Pioneer that were used at GlobalShop, Comdex and InfoCOMM. This type of cooperation allows Pioneer to demonstrate real world applications with a real world dynamic signage product.
Scala created the front-end interface for Ricoh's Partner Pak CD included with their new RD7000 digital camera. Demos from companies including JASC, ofoto.com, ememories.com and Adaptec were included, offering Scala valuable exposure to digital photography customers.
Scala Services also produces the demos and clipart on the InfoChannel product CD. Backgrounds, graphics, sound and video were all created specifically for Scala applications.

Scala has done full-scale presentations for Intel's marketing groups for events such as the Pentium II, Mobile Pentium II and Pentium III product launches. Scala has also established a relationship with Intel's Corporate Presentations group, delivering training and consulting.
Scala had an ongoing relationship with several divisions of Ameritech for creative production. Projects included internal corporate communications and interactive set-top box prototypes.
Scala supported General Instrument (now Motorola) marketing and product development groups by producing demos as well as real applications for its interactive satellite television products. Scala helped design user interface menus and was responsible for creating the typeface designed for readability on home TV sets.
