Telesat
Telesat's VisionPOINTTM Service manages and distributes content - to multiple locations - precisely when and where it is needed. With over 35 years of experience and the most modern satellite fleet in North America, Telesat has developed an extremely reliable and cost effective distribution network.
Distribution packages are client-tailored and include 1 or 2 way Very Small Aperture Terminals (VSAT) and integrated satellite and terrestrial managed solutions. Telesat offers a 1-way VSAT solution with terrestrial return or back channel. The satellite does the heavy lifting by multicasting large files quickly and economically to a low-cost one-way receive antenna at the remote site. A simple and inexpensive terrestrial back channel is used to provide status reporting.
The user securely uploads content via the VisionPOINTTM Internet web portal. The web portal allows users to schedule content for transmission and manage their remote sites. Status reporting is available to the user via the web portal.
Telesat also offers full integration, installation and maintenance services. Maintenance services are tailored to the user's requirements and supported by a network of more than 750 local Field Service Representatives spread across North America.
