Highlighting text with hotkeys

I am trying to highlight text and a 3 state push
button at the same time using a hotkey. The
problem is that when I hit the hotkey during the
preview, the buttons change state but do not
remain in the new state. In addition, the text
doesn’t highlight at all even though the same
hotkey has been assigned to the text as the
button. Is there any way to have the text and
button highlight at the same time and remain in
the highlight state throughout the page.

The Scala Website requires that JavaScript (Active Scripting) be enabled.

Please go to Tools, Internet Options under the Menus. Select the Security Tab, then Custom Level button. Then click the Enable button under Scripting / Active Scripting. Hit OK, then OK again to exit requestors. You will know it's working when you see a "More" link in the links beneath the Tabs.

You can still use the website without changing this setting, but certain features will be disabled.
