I have read all the sections you mention, more than once. SCALA seems to want to run its main script with less than up-to-the-minute accuracy. OK. So that is why we will put a looping buffer (not to long) and the end of each one hour block of programming.
But how do we get the next hour of programming to come in exactly on the hour?
The manual tells us not to just use interrupt all the time--then what to do?
Some helpful advice would be most appreciated.
thanks
I have a straightforward problem--how to design a SCALA master script to put a series of videos on cable tv (educational, so please help me out!) We want to run four one hour blocks of programming 4 times per day, then run announcements from 4am till our programming starts again the next day in the morning. Each one hour block of programming will contain close to an hour of programs, with a buffer of announcements and info (simple pages) that loops at the end of each hour--we want the next block of programming to interrupt exactly on the hour, also ending with a buffer of announcements.
So, how do we schedule the interrupts correctly? How do we put the loop of announcements at the end of each one-hour segment?
...and what am I completely neglecting to understand in all of this?
thanks for your help,
