That was the information I needed.
Thank you for your answer.

"Thanks in forward" or "thanks in advance" or "thank you very much for the post that will answer my question"... either is good if one can understand what is behind that sentence. But since we are not in english grammar course, and "meaning" has advantage before "spelling" i don't think this is an issue for argumentation.
Anyhow, i appologise for any further grammar-spelling mistakes.
Back to the topic.
You are right - I am new to digital signage. However, i am designer, working in video (post) production for almost 15 years now... and what I can't understand, why all that anger and irony behind your answer? What does my question have with design and creativity?
Is this because I've mentioned Inscriber? So what? I use VRAY for rendering and on their forum everybody's talking about advantages and disantvages compared to other renderers...
Can i count? I think so... however I rely on my PC more and more each day so maybe in meanitme I forgot how to do it.
Should i clearly explain what we need?
Ok... here is it - imagine you have
prepared video materials
designed content
designed page layout
prepared flash movies
etc.
etc.
We want to:
prepare a page
arrange content in page
we also have:
time block of 6 minutes that will loop
still with me?
now - we want to have an EASY way to follow material time in that period, so we could in any time have insight in how much time we have left for advertising.
We know that this can be done through scripting - personaly I've already started working on one since I use ASP in everyday work.
But why doing so if there is something similar already built in Scala?!
So, instead of giving such ironic answer, that can, in best case, potential Scala buyers give completely negative impression... why don't you next time try answering in more constructive way?
Simple "this can't be done easily, only through scripting" would be more than appropriate for the Scala forum. And you can still share your impression with your collegues "how one newbie asked stupid question"...

Hello to all.
I think that my question is tightly connected with already mentioned "zones" topics in scala.
What we are interested is next: we would like to have screen split in few (e.g four) parts, each playing different content. Now, this is not the problem since we can arrange them in one page, adjust their timing etc.
What IS problem - there is no easy way of tracking those contents through (our) 6 minute commercial block. I think that this is covered with "zones" in other digital signage software.
To cut long story short - how we can achieve media handling in that 6 minute commercial block? how can we track and log their durations, which is important because of arranging commercials and handling remaining free time for seling. It would be convinient to have, in any given time, status of available advertising time in that 6 minutes.
Sorry for this, maybe a little confusing post, but we already bought Scala, and we are sincerely hoping that we won't regret because of giving scala advantage before Infocaster (which has those things integrated in zone management).
Thanks in forward.
