Tim,
InfoChannel Player and Designer have always been two separate products and have always been sold that way. Our licensing control feature has changed in InfoChannel 5 and now allows closer monitoring of these products.
Having said that, you may still be able to accomplish what you were trying to do. If you are simply using the play back feature in InfoChannel Designer meaning you use Designer to design and then you hit the play button inside of InfoChannel Designer to play the script on that machine, you only need to transition your InfoChannel Designer product to continue working in this fashion.
If you are using the Player in a different fashion, please let me know how you are using it and we can discuss how you can convert your digital signage network to InfoChannel 5.
