Currently, I am employed by Ethniks InfoChannel, as the Account Manager to Woolworths, SA's leading retailer with over 170 corporate stores and expansion into various store formats into the future. Over the past year we have installed 6 corporate stores with landscape and portrait plasma screens, and have developed and created the current content. We have had a favourable response, as it has enhanced the customer shopping experience and we have also broadcast live in-store events via the system.
In the future, the growth of the network will be based on new store formats and financial viability, regards revenues derived from specific advertisers, as Woolworths owns their own brand and only allow advertisers that have either and business partnership or have product sold in their stores.

In collaboration with Woolworths we have established a new company called Puhmp. We manage Puhmp from the Woolworths Head office in Cape Town, where we have created a SCALA broadcasting capability with the support of Ethniks Systems, the distributor for SCALA in Southern Africa..
In addition to sourcing, creating and broadcasting content to Woolworths stores in various formats, we are also intrinsically working with suppliers of Woolworths, to deliver a world-leading Retail Digital Signage Private Label/Brand advertising network. These media agreements are centrally controlled and are linked to various trade agreements, media packages or campaigns running in store.
After trialling Retail Digital Signage for 4 years we are now ready to expand into various store formats. We have had a favourable response, as it has enhanced the customer shopping experience and we have also broadcast live in-store events via the system. We are also investigating utilising the network for digital training, corporate communication and various other needs expressed by the business.
