Where do you get embedded fonts?

Posted: Thursday, 07/15/2004 -- by Rick. Subject: Where do you get embedded fonts?

Searched for this answer but could not find where do get these fonts.
Also is there a log which shows which fonts are needed in order to edit a particular file?

The IC3 Designer's IC.LOG file will record the fonts that a given script needs and are not available on a given computer. It can be faster jsut to open the script file in a text editor and do a serach on "fonts" to fine the fonts that a given script is using.

In order to distribute fonts, Contact your Font Vendor. Fonts are available under a variety of licensing terms. [Adobe, Monotype, Bitstream, etc. alll have nice simple WWW pages and Sales People who can assist in this]

Fonts are priced, as with any other SW product, based on demand and intended use. A license to use a single font on a single workstation might be $0.25, $5.00, $50.00, or $400.00. A font to be distribted within a company might be $500.00. A font to be distributed with a SW product might be $2,500.

Here is Adobe's licensing FAQ/Purchase Site:
