Would like to find out what is the best solution to design and develop a Mall Directory, which can be put into Scala. Coz I'm thinking of using Scala to design the other things like scrolling text.... and use Scala to publish/broadcast it out. I've try using Flash.... is there any other much better solution then Flash?

For my dollar there is no better system for kiosk interactivity, especially in a multipoint delivery system like a mall directory, than IC3.

One idea that jumps right our at me is a touch screen "Walk there" button. Link this button to a full screen, full motion movie, walk-through showing exactly how to get from the "you are here" dot to the desired location. A narrator could be added to tell the patrons what stores they'll see along the route. Drive those customers in! THAT would be REALLY useful!

Add text from the retailer (the mall could charge for that) like sales, promotions, announcements to the screen in a lower-third,
and then maybe pipe in live video so patrons can take a quick peek at a location to see if the people they are supposed to meet are at the location before walking all the way across the mall. Save some feet!

Hope that helps
