i wrote the script, which reads lines from textfile.txt and display them on screen, one at time, for example: line1, clear screen, line2, clear screen, line3...
I want to display more lines on screen:
line(a)
line(b)
line(c)
in text file, this is written:
line(a) ^n line(b) ^n line(c)
line2
line3...
But this do not work, it displays line just as is. What special character should I use to display next line?
It should be ^n ? But program takes it as ^^n !

There are two files here called file_scrolling which do what you describe, although it may need some modifications.

thanx rob, actualy i use this files with modifications for my script. guys at scala helped me, it's not ^n, but alt+160.
