Scala within another scala.

How do I cascade Scala Scripts? I want to run one scala script within another, where I can be embed the second script over the first one. (In a smaller window)

The only way of I know to do this is to custom write your Scala Script for the top-level script. That is, you have to have an understanding of the Scala Scripting language and would have to "hand" write it in a text editor.

Alpha Video has been doing just what you are talking about for years now. We have created a custom Scala Script that plays in an "L" shaped bar along the right and bottom sides of the screen. This allows for 1024x768 playback and then "inside" the MessageBar an 800x600 script can be set to playback. We have recently added a VB frontend for control of the different features (i.e. it can utilize our NewsJet service as well to display weather information on the right-hand bar).

We have also written custom messagebars for peoples specific applications. We can basically carve up the screen anyway you'd want. If you are interested in more information either visit our website or drop me a line: rogerg@alphavideo.com

The Scala Website requires that JavaScript (Active Scripting) be enabled.

Please go to Tools, Internet Options under the Menus. Select the Security Tab, then Custom Level button. Then click the Enable button under Scripting / Active Scripting. Hit OK, then OK again to exit requestors. You will know it's working when you see a "More" link in the links beneath the Tabs.

You can still use the website without changing this setting, but certain features will be disabled.
