I need some help !!
I've installed IC Enterprise on a Windows 2003 Server with a USB dongle. First off, I had to download and install the drivers for the dongle but this went successfully.
Now when I try and start the IC Engine nothing happens !. The timer appears for a second by the cursor but then everything stops.
After checking the Event log, I see an entry with Event ID : 10000 - Current Scala program is unable to execute your request at this time.
The machine is not on any domain purely for testing purposes and I am logging in as Administrator. I spoke to somebody at Scala and they said it 'should'work on Server 2003.
Has anybody else experienced this issue or have any suggestions ??
Thanks In Advance....
You need to do the following for setting up with Windows 2003 Server:
Goto www.hasp.com, goto their downloads, and get the latest Hinstall.zip. Unzip Hinstall.exe to : Program Files\Scala\NetworkManager\.
If installing Network Manager Enterprise (Release 6b or earlier) it asks you whether you want to install the Network Manager web at the root of the system's web server. Uncheck this to change, and you will be prompted for a different location folder.
Note that under IIS6 you must explicitly allow the NetManager CGI connector program to be run, by performing the following manual operation:
1. Start the Network Manager Enterprise engine.
2. Click Start / Control Panel.
3. Double click on Administrative Tools.
4. Double click on Internet Information Services Manager.
5. Expand the local computer tree, then select the Web Service Extensions folder.
6. Click on the Action menu, then select Add a new Web service extension.
7. In the resulting dialog, enter "Scala Network Manager 3" in the Extension name field.
8. Click on the Add... button, then either browse to the WebCGIConnector.exe file (which normally would be found in C:\Inetpub\WWWroot\cgi-bin or equivalent, or enter the path and filename manually.
9. Click OK to exit the Add file dialog.
10. Check the Set extension status to Allowed box.
11. Click OK to exit the New Web Service Extension dialog.
Starting with Release 7, Network Manager Enterprise can be installed under Windows 2003 Server.

Same problem here on w2k3 R2.
does anyone have a solution to a problem that appears to have sat here for 3 years?
Under the DEP control tab--add exclusions for the NM3EE Splash-screen and MMOS.EXE.
