Hi all,
Acrobat Reader is a copyrighted software but distributable asking the permission to adobe (what i does).
I'm looking for an simple utility that will be launched from my scala ICD1 presentation and detect the presence of the AcroReader (only) on the client pc. If not launches the AcroReader installation.
Do you know anyone?
Ciao!
Paolo
Use VB script.
Read the CUID for ".pdf" files. If there is an association with the file type--the reader is installed. If their is no registered class for handling PDF files, its unlikely that there is a reader installed. [actually--this would answer the question "is there some program that can read PDF's installed?" If you wanted only specifically Adobe Acrobat--check for the existance of HLM\SW\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\.]
