Hello everyone.
I am having here a computer with dual monitors, running windows XP embedded on a 1 Ghz VIA Cpu, CF harddrive.
I tried to install IC3 Player software on that but even the window that guides you through the installation doesn't appear. I tried some other software and they did well.
Also installed the newest release of windows installer but that didn't help.
Also tried to copy an existing installation of the player software from another pc but the player does not start.
Any help or ideas would be really appreciated.
Thanks in advance, Kiarasch.
The XP-Embedded image you are working with does not contain the appropriate API/.DLL components and Registry entries for the dependencies of our product.

Thanks for your quick answer.
Is there no way that i could change the existing system without making a new image?
I downloaded the windows xp embedded kit. Is there a way that i could import the existing system and then add the missing parts?
Because the system is not our own and there is already some software running, they even integrated their own shell.
So i can't just make a new image. I have to integrate their stuff to.
Any ideas?
Thanks, Kiarasch
Its not a consumer OS--its an Embedded product. There is no trivial way to add extensive functionality to an image that does not have it. Some sub-systems, registry keys--yes. But given that this image does not even run the installer--there is no telling what it does not have.
Besides--there is little point in supporting this platform. A VIA C-series CPU generally implies a VIA-chipset/GPU solution. Attempting to get stable, appripriate, IC3 performance on such a system is an exercise in futility.
Good luck,

Okay, I think i understand. There is no other way than to develop a new image. I hope these guys are able to do that.
Thanks for your help.
