Well, I'd like to see an option in CM where I can display players not only by Workgroups, but also by the given Metadata. This way I can quickly display certain players for Maintanance or other purposes. Also Metadata should be listed in columns next to the playername... Very handy I would think...

In new IC5 i'd like to see new option in Designer ... Global Button. I still use IC3 Designer and create many interactive pages. Globall button is necessery to create globall navigate to many, many pages. Changes in global button is easier than many changes in many buttons.

And secound ...I'd like to see new configuration options in Global Crawll...crawll for few pages.

Global button is a good one, but probably will be there in the next release where buttons will be back (they are absent now). If not it is easy to to a text search/replace on the script in wordpad.

A pagespanning option for crawl is a nice one too. Until then, you ave to put the crawl in a subscript to prevent it from appearing in mainscript. Another trick is to use a variable that sets transparancy to 0 o 100. In this way the crawl is still there but invisible whenever you want. You have to hand edit the script to use the variable instead of a set value, but after that it works fine!

Next idea for IC5 is ...players script synchronisation,
ex. one player have small touch screen (15") and user select what can see on another big screen (plasma, projector). I can't use secound output from graphic cart.

I have few ideas how synchronise script action on two or more players.
I'm very interested your concepiton and details how to do this.
Now I prepairing for upgrade to IC5. I thing, that after upgrade I spend more time on learning IC5.

Hi!

Well, the easiest part is to communicate between players via a (Ms)SQL database (it's the best option, Access is too slow).
Next to that you need two VBscripts (or JavaScript/Python) that share variables with the Scalaplayer. In this way you can signal changes in play between two or more players local or over internet. I do this a lot and it works like magic!

A Workgroup should automatically shown all media, messages, playlists in all sub-workgroups too.

It would be great when i could select a view-workgroup that shows all content in the sub-workgroups of the selected workgroup too.

A new added sub-workgroup in this main workgroup should be automatically included in this process.

The Scala Website requires that JavaScript (Active Scripting) be enabled.

Please go to Tools, Internet Options under the Menus. Select the Security Tab, then Custom Level button. Then click the Enable button under Scripting / Active Scripting. Hit OK, then OK again to exit requestors. You will know it's working when you see a "More" link in the links beneath the Tabs.

You can still use the website without changing this setting, but certain features will be disabled.
