I have a problem with the search field (in the upper right corner of the Content Manager screen). It doesn't work for playlists without admin rights (Resources<>everything). Is that a bug?
Stephan,
I just tried this with Release 2.0.5 using a "test" user account that used the "Viewer" role. No problems here.
What revision of Content Manager are you using? Have you created a specific role that doesn't work? If so, can you provide me with the details of that?
Thanks,
Erik Mattsson
System Information:
Operating System: Windows 2003 5.2 (x86)
Web Server: Apache Tomcat/ 5.5.17
Java VM: 1.5.0_10
Content Manager: IC5 release 2, (2007.05.29, r7746)
Application dir: D:\Scala\InfoChannel Content Manager 5/WebApp
Config dir: C:/Dokumente und Einstellungen/All Users/Anwendungsdaten/Scala/InfoChannel Content Manager 5
Data dir: E:\InstoreServer
Web server dir: C:\Programme\apache Software Foundation\Tomcat 5.5
We have 2 Content Managers, one with the Version described above, and one with IC5 rel 1.1, both with the same directory structure and OS.
We have created a user role, but it doesn't work with the Viewer role too (Access denied).
User role = User_Stores (the following items are selected, the rest is not selected):
Log on Web Gui
View Media
Edit Media
Full access to messages
View playlists
edit playlists
kind regards...
Stephan,
Can you update your Content Manager to 2.0.5 and try again? You can download the update from here:
http://www.scala.com/updates
If the update doesn't fix the problem, then try deleting the user and recreate it.
Hi,
i have updated to 2.0.5, but the problem is not fixed.
The Content Manager runs on a _german_ Windows 2003 Server rel 2.
Can that will be the problem?
Did you try and delete the user account and recreate it with the "Viewer" role? Any chance your search terms contain non-english characters? If so, what are they?
Erik
