Does anyone know if it is possible to use an on-screen button to pause a movie file in ICD3? Ideas gratefully received
Back in the ICD1/ICD3 era there was such a "clever script". I have it buried somewhere in the massive collection of CD's and DVD's in my office. *IF* I get some spare time I'll try to dig it up--otherwise all I can tell you is that: With some limitations, it is possible to program such a thin in pure Scala Script--but my memory going back 6+ years can not bring up the example on demand.
So--if you are clever enough you might independently re-invent it before I find it!

You check the clock variable before movie starts
You make a button that when clicked will wipe-in the same movie starting from the time referenced by the current clock (you need to substract the original value of the clock variable before it starts). The end of the movie clip must be specified to be 0.25 secs later.
It will give you the impression the movie is paused.
Then when you push on another button "restart", you should wipe-in the movie starting at the pause time, it will give the impression the movie continues...
this is pretty nifty....
Thanks for this idea - it's rather challenging my Scala skills but I'll give it a go. What I'm not sure is whether it will work just once or whether I can repeatedly pause and restart...
