Hi,
We are currently trying to make a production in scala designer 5 where we need to have more control over the objects in the script.
As it is today it seems as if we can only move objects in or out of the screen.
Is there a way to move an object to a specific coordinate?
Is there a way to also rezise an object to a size specified by us?
Regards,
Erik
The ScalaScript programming language does allow for some manipulation--the size of an element is something that is trivial to script. However movement is restricted to what can be accomplished via "wipes"--e.g. one could use a particular "Fly-on" wipe to get an element to a specific coordinate. There are some particularly clever "Games" that have been written in Scala Script that use this technique.

So there is no way after an object is displayed in the script for us to MOVE it to another coordinate?
Or set a target size which it could resize to?
Cut wipes and clever use of Fly-on wipes will provide the illusion of what I think you think that you want to achieve.
You really need to work with more experienced Scala scripting guys who have a library of some of the older demos--check with your reseller to see if he has some of the old MM100 and MM200 script collections. [esp. some of the Games--there was a version of "Soliataire" that was rather clever]
