Hi all...
Is it possible to publish to video in Designer 5? If so, how?
I can only find instructions for Designer 3 to accomplish this.
Thanks!
Laura
P2V is not an attribute of the InfoChannel 5 product. I may get added in to a future release of the product--but at the moment it is not a development priority. [things like H.264 support, Broadcast Server,Web-Automation, etc. are a bit more important to the majority of our customers!]
Some customers have found that the tool "FRAPS" works quite well for their P2V needs in InfoChannel5. [ http://www.fraps.com/ ]

and when can we expect to see H.264 support?
I would tell you--but Dick Chaney would have to lock you up inside his office safe with a "Do not let out for 40 years" seal!

....we'll try to be patient. :~)
It can be down with a screen recording/capturing software, but it will be a bit slow. You can easily just speed up the frames by half a step to get it back to the orginal timing, but if you have music in the content, I do advise to add the music in a video editing program. The music will come out a bit slow. Otherwise if you have a player machine you may run faster to capture the video from the player machine instead of the one with designer. Designer eats alot of resources, especially if you are running video capture in the background it will slow down a little bit and eat a lot of resources.
