Once I make an image global it always jumps forward and hides all other elements on that page. I can't get it to sit behind the other elements without turning off the global feature. Is this the way it was designed or am I doing something wrong? It's the first time I've tried to use the global setting but surely that can't be correct.

Use transparency if you need ephemeral elements to appear behind a "Global Element".

Just happen to see the name. ;)
Is this the same John Schilling I knew back in '86 back at the University of Florida?
If so - would love to talk.
Cheers.

Thanks for that John but I'm trying to achieve just the opposite effect. I want the Global element to appear behind all the other elements, i.e. as a background. What I'm trying for is to get a looping AVI to run as a global background. Is there any way to achieve this? If not, is it possible to get Scala to make a change to the way the Global option works? It seems to me that if the Global element would only pay attention to what layer it is assigned to then you could place it anywhere you want. Is this possible?
