Bring an extra keyboard, mouse (preferrably wireless) and monitor, but also install VNC on all Players and bring a laptop. That really works when you have 20 Players so you don't have to keep plugging and unplugging.

Do as much configuration as possible before you arrive on-site.

If you have Players on different size displays, try to standardize resolutions as much as possible so content can be reused among the different screens.

Make sure the customer has an authoring system with the same base configuration as the Player, or has an actual Player in their office they can test with.

After you finish installation, if you had to do any major configuration changes on-site, document them thoroughly and make a backup the Player's hard drive.

Make Test Scripts that match the resolution of your Players.

The Scala Website requires that JavaScript (Active Scripting) be enabled.

Please go to Tools, Internet Options under the Menus. Select the Security Tab, then Custom Level button. Then click the Enable button under Scripting / Active Scripting. Hit OK, then OK again to exit requestors. You will know it's working when you see a "More" link in the links beneath the Tabs.

You can still use the website without changing this setting, but certain features will be disabled.
