Dec. 10, 2004 - ActiveLight announces Scala to co-sponsor Barco LED Specialist Certification training

SEATTLE (Dec. 10, 2004) - ActiveLight, Inc. (www.activelight.com), the leading value-added distributor of advanced displays and dynamic signage solutions, today announced that Scala, Inc. will be co-sponsoring its Barco LED Specialist Certification training for dealers, resellers and integrators on Jan. 5.

The one-day Digital Signage Training Symposium will be offered at The Riviera Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. The session will begin at approximately 8:30 a.m. and end at 5:00 p.m. Registration is available at www.activelight.com/Barco/training.asp. Participants must be pre-registered to attend.

"Having Scala participating in the training session will be a great benefit for dealers, resellers and integrators," said Nancy Brooks, marketing director for ActiveLight, Inc. "Not only will they be able to learn more about Barco's LED displays, they'll see how Scala products can work with the displays to create complete digital signage solutions for their customers."

Barco and Scala representatives will conduct the training sessions. Participants will learn about opportunities in the growing large-format digital signage market, the basics and benefits of LED technology versus other signage technologies, and receive insider information on how to sell, finance and get a demo in their show rooms. Scala will be providing information on its industry leading InfoChannel® software suite in order to give participants a complete look at the process of digital signage, said Brooks.

"We're happy to be co-sponsoring this event with ActiveLight and Barco and are looking forward to the opportunity to demonstrate how Scala's InfoChannel® leads the corporate/government communications, retail advertising, hospitality and entertainment, education and local cable TV channel industries with engaging dynamic signage technology," said Richard Trask, marketing director for Scala, Inc." ActiveLight is a great resource for resellers, dealers and integrators, and this event is a great opportunity for these professionals to learn more about digital signage and how Scala and Barco products can work together to create real solutions."

The session also includes a keynote address from Brad Gleeson, president of ActiveLight, who will be giving an overview of the digital signage industry. Each participant will receive certification as a Barco LED Specialist upon completion.
