April 10, 2000 - Scala Announces InfoChannel Reporter Software.
Calabasas, California (April 10, 2000) - Scala, Inc., an international developer of multimedia communications solutions, announced its Reporter software for InfoChannel. Reporter enables anyone to easily create and update multimedia messages on their InfoChannel system using a standard networked PC.
"Now practically anyone can create and update TV-quality multimedia content," said Marc Rifkin, Marketing Director of Scala, Inc. "Reporter allows InfoChannel users to mix timely, focused information with their corporate-wide messages."
With Reporter's simple Windows based template interface, anyone in an organization can become a news editor with minimal time and training. Content is entered into pre-defined layouts, then broadcast with Scala's InfoChannel software to strategically placed TV monitors, plasma screens and kiosks, as well on the desktops. Templates can be customized to meet the needs of any corporate, advertising, school or cable TV network.
Reporter is already being used by corporate customers such as Ameritech. The software was developed by Alpha Video, a Scala application developer in Minneapolis, MN, and is being produced and marketed by Scala.
Scala's InfoChannel software suite allows users to author and broadcast dynamic multimedia content to employees, customers or the general public via TV monitors, kiosks, cable channels, or networked PCs. Advertising, news, training and other visual communications can be easily scheduled and updated with InfoChannel's integrated multimedia creation, broadcast and playback system.
