IT/Helpdesk Internship

Scala is seeking interns for both the Summer and Fall of 2011.  We are looking for a team of interns to assist various departments to help maintain Scala's leadership in the industry.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Provide support to staff on all company supported productivity applications. Troubleshoot computer problems, determine source and advise on appropriate action. Complete application project-based work.

  • Answer staff questions in person and via IM or phone on all company supported applications;
  • Troubleshoot computer problems;
  • Determine source of computer problems (hardware, software, user access, etc.);
  • Advise staff on appropriate action;
  • Serve as liaison between staff and the technology department to resolve issues;
  • Work one-on-one with staff on application projects;
  • Provide recommendations on company application purchases;
  • Document resolutions for future reference;
  • Hardware and software installations; and
  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

  • Result oriented;
  • Knowledge of current MS office, internet browsers and/or Adobe applications;
  • Ability to lean new applications; and
  • Have a sense of humor.
